A Great Weekend Away
Superb private location that really is only a few steps to the ocean. A very friendly community atmosphere where everyone had a pleasant greeting any time of the day or night. The A/C was on when we got there and we felt right at home the minute we walked thru the door. The bottom line is I would stay there again!

Beyond Our Expectations
My wife and I stayed at Rosemarie's beach chalet during February 2011. We did not know what to expect especially since we never booked anything like this on-line, sight unseen. Since the first phone call to Rosemarie we felt confident she would provide what she advertised. What we experienced was beyond our expectations. This chalet is just steps to a beautiful clean beach on the atlantic ocean . You can walk back to the chalet and have lunch in the private back yard. We walked into fort lauderdale daily and felt safe along with the other tourists who were bicycling. The neighborhood is quiet and she provides a parking space for your rental car that can surely fit two cars. This is a casual place that is clean and comfortable.

Great place!
The location is great, indeed just a few steps to the beach and within walking distance to Ford Lauderdale "downtown" with all its restaurants and bars. Shopping centers are accessable within a few minutes drives. The condo has all what is necessary for a relaxing beach vacation, in particular a big BBQ. We would definitly choose this condo again.

Clean, Comfortable,Convenient
Thank you so much for accommodating me on such short notice in Chalet Unit #1. I very much enjoyed my stay. The space was charming, clean, comfortable and convenient... so close to the beach! I enjoyed taking long walks through the lovely neighborhood in the cool of the evenings. Being so close to the ocean, it was easy to indulge my urge to go listen to the waves under the moonlight at night. I watched some spectacular lightning out over the ocean but didn't have to worry about getting caught in the rain since I was so close to home. Made good use of the towels, chairs and umbrellas so that my days at the beach were enjoyable. The shared patio was a nice extension to the living space and a quiet refuge where I could listen to the birds and the wind in the palms. Your yard is just lovely... can I hire your landscaper?! Thanks again for a lovely vacation!

Beautiful Chalet, all amenities
My husband Pete and I arrived in Feb/2010 at Rosemarie's Beach Chalets... we were so taken by the beautiful Chatet and the lovely decor. There is nothing that you need, Rosemarie has provided all you need for a restful and awsome vacation. I can still hear the waves from our bedroom window in the night as the beach is a throw stone away and I must say a beautiful and quiet beach at that. We were in walking distance to all amenities and the area of the Villa are in a quiet residence with beautiful homes and landscaping. We really enjoyed our stay as we love to cook and never left the Villa for a meal, as her outdoor cooking area is so nicely decorated and very comfortable to sit at night and relaxe. Need I say more, as we are booked for April, 2011 for the same Villa we stayed in last winter. Can't wait to see it and Rosemarie, the hostess with the mostess.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards, Pete and Janet, New Brunswick, Canada.

10 steps to the beach
We have just returned from our holiday in this lovely, charming property. The description does not do it complete justice, the property is beautifully maintained. It has an old Florida charm to it. The courtyard is extremely pleasant and it is a nice way to end the day. Rosemarie is magnificently charming and very interested in making sure our needs are well taken care of. I would recommend this property to anyone, the location is perfect, and in fact it is actually five steps to the beach. The location is amenable to anyone wishing to utilize the public transport. The property is located on a quiet street so noise is not an issue. In fact, the street is often patrolled by police so we felt extremely safe. All in all, this is the perfect home away from home and we are returning next year.

Christmas Getaway
I recently spent a wonderful week at the Beach Chalet before going to visit my family for the week of Christmas. It was so peaceful and relaxing I really didn't want to leave. In hind site I should have done the week here after the week with my family to unwind. The beach is seriously within walking distance, two minutes. I would take my daughter for a walk in her stroller at night and enjoy the calm of the ocean. The Chalet is located in a quiet residental neighborhood but is a short (a few minutes) drive away from dining, shopping, and entertainment. I definitely plan on going back.

We stayed in Rosemaries beach chalet (apartment #1) a week at the end of June 2009. EVERYTHING was perfect! The house is situated a few steps from the beach, in a nice and quiet area. The furnishing is very high class and the house is very well equipped with everything you'll need. If you’re going to Fort Lauderdale – this is the place to stay! Fabulous Stay in the Chalet
My husband and I stayed in Rosemarie's Chalet for the 2nd year in a row! We had to stay 2 weeks this time! Rosemarie has her Chalet set up so nicely and made it so welcoming that we had to come back again! Everything is convenient to the Chalet. Restraunts, shopping and churches. The beach is only steps away. Our unit was already for us when we arrived. Clean and beautiful. Rosemarie anticipates what her guests need and makes sure everything you could want is already in place when you get there. And the courtyard is beautiful as well. It is like sitting in a private garden! Thank you Rosemarie for another great vacation!

I left my heart...in a beach chalet
My husband and I spent one wonderful month, February 2009 in apartment #3, before the end of our vacation we decided we just had to reserve for 2010 and spend an additional month. No luck, people line up to get any one of these 3 apartments. The property is very well maintained, very pleasant and accross the street is a very magical and unique beach. There is no traffic to cross the street. We have changed our vacation schedule just so we can go back to this very special place. We made friends with our neighbors within the property and had the opportunity to visit the other apartments. I also loved apartment #1 and have reserved it for 2010. I honestly hesitated sharing my enthusiasm with other vacationers about this special chalet...shooting myself on the foot? The location is incredible, you can find peace and quiet, enjoy a variety of restaurants, walking distance to supermarkets, walking distance to water taxi, great shopping and if you prefer all sorts of night life entertainment including restaurants at nearby beaches with live music, etc. It is simply a pleasure dealing with the manager Rosemarie. She is very accomodating, honest and will go out of her way to please her guests. Do not hesitate to choose this little paradise (as long as it does not interfere with our bookings, hee, hee, hee)

Dream spot in lovely location!
We've just returned home to the UK from our honeymoon - we'd rented this lovely little chalet from Rosemarie and loved it! The place was perfect, had everything we needed and more - the location was perfect, so close to the beach - 10 steps and you're there!! In a perfect location for the freeways and malls too - a great place, very highly recommended! Whether there to relax or thrill seek and kite surf, it really is a perfect location! On a personal note, Rosemarie is lovely, you feel very much like you're home from home and well looked after. We even left our camera battery charger there by accident and she parcelled it up and posted it to the UK immediately.
Thank you Rosemarie for making our honeymoon so special - Mark and Vicky :)

Winter holiday
We are a couple from Belgium and found Rosemarie's cottage on the Internet, the idea of being right on the beach really appealed to us. The accommodation was all we hoped for, a secluded apartment with one bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen, perfect for two, but because there is a great fold-out bed in the living room, it could even be considered for 4 people. The apartment was charming, very quiet and we had a lovely terrace all to ourselves. The location was perfect, you literally cross one narrow, quiet street and you are on a miles long, almost totally deserted beach, heaven. There is a bus stop approximately 300 meters from the cottage, we got by for 3 weeks without a car and even went to Sawgrass Mills, the famous outlet shop, by bus. Should we consider another winter holiday in Fort Lauderdale next year, we would certainly try to rent the same place again, it was a home away from home.

Woderful place
This is a chalet and garden you want to return. We had five wonderful weeks in the charming house situated in this extremely enjoyable and calm area of Fort Lauderdale. We stayed November and the beginning of December 2008. The feeling of being at home, still in a new interesting place, was sensed immediately, and we started creating our routines. After some days we joined other people taking the morning promenade along the street with the beautiful houses, very individualistic and all gardens differing from others. The friendliness in the area is extraordinary. Working on a book, the house and garden managed the ultimate test of atmosphere and calm. Yes, you can even write there! Then breakfast in “our” garden before going to the beach, or exploring Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, the Keys or something else. Returning to the house was always expressed by our “Nice to be back home again”. The Atlantic Ocean is close and the beach is not crowded. You can bring your coffee and enjoy the sounds of the waves while getting that tan we also came for. Rosemarie is a special person: warm, considering, funny and the perfect hostess. She is caring and fixing everything but never interrupts or disturbs. She is suddenly there when you need something or just want to talk. How she manages is one of those mysteries that make life easier and funnier. The house is charming, and this does not exclude the modernity. It is a rare example where you can combine charm with all comfortable things you can long for. The kitchen was great and we really used the barbecue in the garden.

WONDERFUL!
We stayed nearly a week in this precious chalet. It had all the amentities of home, a beautiful courtyard with a gas grill, and was only steps from the beach. It's located along the main drag of the ocean and is close to everything! Home is located in a beautiful neighborhood, and is private and secure. We will be back.

The PERFECT beach house...
My husband and I are thrilled with this property...and with the home owner, Rosemarie! We are from the Midwest but we are very familiar with this Galt Mile area of Fort Lauderdale. We've been coming to the area (for both business and pleasure) for years, but in the past we had always stayed in hotels and motels. We started to look for something quieter and with more charm, in an upscale residential area. But I was hesitant since I had never booked a property on the internet before. This property is all you could ask for-and more, and if you like to walk, this location is great. It's the closest street to the ocean with very little car traffic-mostly friendly walkers and bike riders. You can spend your days on the beach, and walk to a local night-spot for dinner or drinks. Whether you arrive by car, or by taxi from the airport, this house is located within approximately two miles of everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. You'll find grocery stores, restaurants, bars, mass transit connections and even a water-taxi system of transportation! (The water taxi is a MUST for first-time visitors! It's an economical and leisurely way to see the beautiful homes along the IntraCoastal Waterway.) There is so much to do in the area, and Rosemarie will give you tips to help you make the most of your stay. The house is spotless, and beautifully decorated. Each of the four units have various cooking amenities, depending on which room you book. (Rosemarie will help you pick the right one for your needs.) Whether you're a gourmet cook, or you just want a refrigerator, a coffee pot and a microwave, this house has a perfect room for you. The beach location is the best! I carry my cup of coffee to the beach in the morning to watch the sunrise...it's a sixty second walk! And I can't tell you how many books I've read-both in the beautiful courtyard of the house and at the beach--my idea of the PERFECT vacation. We loved it so much last year that we are just finishing a month long stay this year! We now consider it our "other" house...the one with the beautiful ocean just steps from our door! Rosemarie is the PERFECT host. She thinks of everything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. She provides secure wireless high speed internet, beach chairs, a coin laundry and a beautiful courtyard with a deluxe BBQ grill. Thanks to HomeAway we found "our" great house at the beach...and a new friend in Rosemarie!
